Laurel's Baby Shower

On Sunday, St. Francis hosted a baby shower for their fabulous choir director and organist, Mrs. Laurel. The food was amazing, the presents were adorable, and the company was joyful. Now if we could have only convinced little Miss M. to come after the shower so her Mommy could have joined us! :) After the shower, I took plates of food, the rest of the cake and all of the gifts to Mrs. Laurel and I got to watch as her little guy helped unwrap them. It was loads of fun and Laurel and baby look amazing! Thanks to all who made this such a nice gathering, especially Amy Warren!!

Operation Christmas Child

As many of you already know, the EYC participates every year in a ministry called Operation Christmast Child. For those of you who have not heard of this ministry, OCC sends wrapped shoe boxes filled wihth items to less fortunate children in other countries, along with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
In order to make this ministry a success, we need your help! If you would like to sponsor a box, please check out this website: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/index.php/OCC/Pack_A_Shoe_Box/
There you can learn what to put in the shoe box and what to pack inside of it. Please have these to the church on or before Sunday, November 15th.

ICE SKATING at the PLEX

Happy Fall!
All St. Francis children, youth and their parents are invited to the Plex Indoor Sports center on Sunday, November 8th from 2pm-4pm. This should be a fun time for our children and youth to gather and have playtime and fellowship. Those who wish to skate will be able to do so and those who cannot or choose not to can play on the turf field.
I have been asked to advise everyone who wants to skate to wear comfortable clothes, a warm jacket or sweater, tall socks, gloves and hat (ifnecessary). It's always colder than anyone imagines even in the cooler months! A donation of $12 per person is requested, but please do not let that not interfere with participation. We are always willing to make things work!
